Do you supply profiles cut to size, or only in mill lengths?
Both. Handle profiles, gola channels, J-profiles and LED channels are supplied in 3000 mm mill lengths as standard, and cut to your panel sizes on request. Cutting to size is worth doing where a run needs each front handled at its own width; mill lengths are usually simpler where a fabricator is cutting anyway.
How do I choose between a gola channel, a J-profile and an edge profile?
All three give a handleless front, and the difference is where the grip sits. A gola channel runs between modules and is recessed into the carcass. A J-profile fixes under the front edge, so the front itself is unbroken. An edge profile is recessed into the top or side edge of the panel. If the carcass cannot take a channel between modules, a J-profile or an edge profile is usually the answer.
What does a load rating include?
It depends on the fitting, and we state it per product. A drawer runner rating is a dynamic load — the weight it will carry moving, at full extension. A shelf bracket rating is a static load spread across the shelf, and for a stone shelf it has to include the weight of the stone itself. A sliding track is rated per leaf, and leaf weight is what to specify against rather than door width.
Can glass fittings be added after the glass is toughened?
No. Every cut-out, hole and notch in toughened glass has to be made before toughening — the panel cannot be worked afterwards without breaking it. So the patch fittings, spigots or hinges have to be chosen before the glass is ordered, and the fabricator needs the fitting's cut-out details at that point.
Are custom finishes available?
Several ranges are made in custom finishes alongside the standard palette of matt black, satin nickel, chrome, antique brass, rose gold, champagne, natural anodised and wood grain. Tell us the finish you are matching to and we will confirm what is possible on that product and what it does to the lead time.
Do you supply to fabricators as well as direct to site?
Yes — most orders go to the furniture manufacturer or fabricator building the units, and some go direct to site where the programme needs them there. Tell us which when you send the requirement, because it changes how profiles are cut and packed.
Can I get a sample before ordering?
Ask, particularly where the finish is the decision. A metal finish against a chosen timber, stone or paint colour is not a thing to settle from a photograph on a screen, and a sample is the cheapest step in the whole process.
