The Aluminium Sliding Door Track is a top-hung system in which the leaf hangs from rollers running inside an extruded aluminium track, with a floor guide taking lateral movement only. The 2000 mm track is rated at 40 kg per leaf, which covers a standard wardrobe front in board or a light framed panel, and the rating is the figure to specify against rather than the door's width. Because the load is carried at the head, there is no bottom rail to keep clear of and nothing set into the floor finish, which is why the system suits a wardrobe run or a room divider in a finished space. The track is supplied in natural anodised aluminium, an unpigmented finish that leaves the metal its own colour and is the most forgiving option where the track is visible above the opening.
