Recessed steel support rods that carry a shelf with no visible bracket, 25 kg per pair.
Technical specifications
The Floating Shelf Concealed Support is a pair of steel rods on a wall plate that slide into holes bored in the back edge of a shelf, so the shelf appears to come out of the wall with no bracket under it. It is offered in 300 mm, 450 mm and 600 mm rod lengths to match the shelf depth, and a pair is rated at 25 kg with the load spread across the shelf rather than hung off the front edge. Because the plate is recessed and fixed back to the structure, the fixing has to land in masonry or a noggin — the rating assumes that, and a plasterboard-only fixing will not hold it. The visible parts are finished in matt black, which matters on the rare occasion a rod is seen from below on a shallow shelf.
