Stainless steel patch fitting for 10–12 mm toughened glass, doors to 90 kg.
Technical specifications
The Glass Door Patch Fitting clamps the corner of a frameless toughened glass door and carries the pivot, so the door swings without a frame around the glass. It takes 10 mm and 12 mm toughened glass and a leaf up to 90 kg, and both figures have to be checked against the actual panel — glass weight rises quickly with area, and a 12 mm panel is half again as heavy as a 10 mm one of the same size. The fitting is surface mounted onto the glass through a prepared cut-out, which means the glass must be ordered with the cut-outs already made, since toughened glass cannot be drilled or notched after toughening. Stainless steel in chrome is the standard specification for an entrance door, where the fitting is at hand height in a commercial lobby and takes constant contact.
