The Concealed Stone Shelf Bracket is a flat stainless steel blade that sets into a slot cut in the back edge of a stone shelf, so a heavy shelf appears to cantilever from the wall with no support beneath it. It comes in 200 mm and 300 mm blade lengths for shelf depths in that range, and a pair carries 40 kg — a figure that has to include the shelf itself, since a stone shelf frequently weighs more than anything that will be put on it. The blade is a recessed fixing and the wall plate goes back to masonry; the slot in the stone is cut by the fabricator, so the bracket has to be chosen before the stone is ordered rather than after. Satin-finished stainless is used throughout because the blade is in permanent contact with damp-capable stone in a bathroom or kitchen.
